Minecraft
Welcome to the series of #CodingWhileGaming where we will accompany you on your journey in learning how to code and playing at the same time!
On this part, we want to introduce you to Minecraft…… for coding!
Many of you may be familiar with this game or at least heard of the name or maybe never heard of it but have seen pixelated characters jumping around or literally never heard nor seen it. Anyway…. It doesn’t matter. If you have never played Minecraft nor even heard of it, the game is basically sandbox meaning that there is no restricted goal to be achieved in the game.
A player has freedom to roam, interact and even modify the environment of the game. You can create your own world in Minecraft through available sources you can find. If you want a more challenging environment then you can choose Survival Mode. In this mode, you need to protect and survive yourself from “some” dangers that may come to you, thus you need to find food, create weapons, build shelters and so on!
On several platforms, you will find Minecraft to Code! You will choose your character and navigate them through block-based coding. You can choose several programming languages but it will be visualised with bunch blocks that you can drop and throw; a catchy way to understand coding!
Several actions that you need to command to your character are mining, crafting, building and exploring the world of Minecraf. During the game, there are many hints that can help you pass the level. Everytime you pass a level, you will get rewarded and the reward can help in advancing your character with weapons, accessories and defences!
Below is the sneak peek of how the game would look like for you! You will notice that there are several failed attempts and how the instructioncs that are available can help you pass the level.
Doesn’t that look playful and fun? Click here to join Minecraft for coding!
